I want to thank everyone who helped/donated last week for our Thanksgiving meal! It was a great time of fellowship/worship and I think the meals went to so many families that are having a hard time right now and I know it was a blessing to them. There are so many right in our area who are in need due to medical situations or other reasons and you guys have the most giving hearts! I appreciate all of you so much!!!
The canned food drive for local schools is going on until December 15th. The social worker for ABSS that I have met was so appreciative of the food in November. She said the need for food is larger than than they can supply right now.
I know alot of gifts have come in for our KY families and local families! Thank you all so much! We will be checking them all off on Saturday and Feed the Hunger will be picking them up Sunday or Monday to deliver them next week. If you still have gifts out please let Nicole or I know and bring them on Sunday morning. They will also be receiving the donations of Hygiene products and other items donated throughout the year. Malinda says this is such a blessing to the families in Lynch, KY that otherwise may not receive clothes/gifts this Christmas and I know the local families will be blessed just the same.
Local gifts are going to Dillard Middle School (Caswell Co.), Cummings, Pleasant Grove/North Graham Elementary, and other schools (siblings may attend different schools). Gifts will be delivered by the counselors/social workers or by one of us or one of our Deacons.
If you have any questions please let me know, and again thank you for your donations of gifts and/or food!

Tomorrow is the first cut-off for food for the local schools. I will be taking it this week and then we will collect again to distribute before Christmas break.
We do still have a few Kentucky families left to be adopted, and we can split those up if anyone would like to have a child instead of a whole family.
We are also sending a meal with these gifts and like in the past, if you want to make a donation, please mark your donation in the offering so that Janet knows it will apply to the meals. “LYNCH KY MEALS” (Feed the hunger will deliver these traditional meals for us, along with the gifts in December!)
Please pass along to anyone you know who is in need about our Thanksgiving supper next Wednesday (Nov 27) at 6pm! And please let us know if you want to bring Tea and/or a dessert for the meal. You are all invited to join us for the meal and fellowship! We are preparing 50 meals for take home for those in need. If you need to sign someone up to get their meal, let me know!
Deadline for both local and KY gifts to be turned in is Wednesday December 4th in the GFWC.
Thank you for all your donations. These families will be so blessed to get food, clothes and also a toy this Christmas season!

We still have several families left to be sponsored for Christmas this year. If you are interested let Nicole or I know!
The cut off for November Food drive is Wednesday Nov. 20th! I will be taking the food to the school later that week so that they can get it to the appropriate places before the kids leave for Thanksgiving break. Thank you to all who have donated! What a blessing that we can provide to local students who don’t have adequate food when school is out!
If you are interested in volunteering for the Christmas Pack-a-thon December 5, 6 or 7th please get with me to pick out a time. (Feed the Hunger)
Also, just to get ahead of the game for our Thanksgiving meal, like in the past we are asking for desserts and tea for the meal on November 27. If possible, please have your desserts at church by 5pm that day so that we can pack some of them up for the take-home meals and cut the rest to serve that evening. If you plan on bringing a dessert or tea please let the missions committee know!
